A significant aspect to the mission of the FBRC is to foster graduate education in forest biology at UC Davis. UC Davis has excellent graduate programs in Ecology, Genetics, Plant Pathology, Entomology, Plant Biology, Geography and more. Thus, there is currently no plan to develop a specific graduate program in Forest Biology. To that end, the FBRC will develop a Certificate and/or Designated Emphasis (DE) program in Forest Biology that can be awarded in combination with a degree from an existing graduate program. A core course entitled “Introduction to Forest Biology” will be required to earn the Certificate or DE and will be offered for the first time in Spring Quarter 2011 (Click Here). For more information about graduate training in Forest Biology at UC Davis please contact David Neale at dbneale@ucdavis.edu.
Different financial aids are available to support students through their study in UC Davis.
